Five for Friday! June 13

I am linking up with Doodlebugs Teaching for Five for Friday!  Thank you, Kacey, for hosting!

If you are out of school already, you may not have realized this.  If you are still in school, like yours truly, you did not even NEED to see this- because you already lived it in your classroom. Although I have been living it for a couple weeks now.  This feels like one really LONG full moon!
I liked this little saying because Wednesday was my birthday!  Last week, one of my little girls said, "OH MY GOSH, I think Mrs. Kisloski turns 35 next week!"  So I went with that.
All of my family went to my parents' house for a picnic. My daughter took this during dessert, and all of a sudden it was on Facebook.  Oh my.  I am so thankful for my wonderful, wonderful family and friends. What a special day!
OK- schooly stuff!  We had to give our end of the year SLO tests.  Just what nobody wanted.  The children were great, and the tests are over.

My room gets really stuffy and hot and humid, so everyonewas sort of cranky- but this winter when we were all freezing, I remember saying I would NOT complain if I could only be warm...
We did LOTS of Gonoodle after our tests to unwind.

We also did lots of fun writing with books this week.  I posted on Tuesday about some fun we had with MONSTERS.

This post was an earlier one I did with LOTS of monster freebies from TPT.
After this post, I was talking to my sweet friend Amanda, from Teacher at the Wheel, about googly eyes (because that's what  kindergarten teachers talk about, apparently), and  how I had seen someone put googly eyes on all sorts of different things- so here is an idea in case you wanted to add some excitement to your refrigerator...

My kids have had lots of fun with drawing and writing this past week.  First, we read Mrs. Wish Washy's Farm and Otis.

We drew the pictures after we read the stories, and then wrote about our drawings later in the day.  It works best to split it up, because they can really focus better on drawing or writing, one thing at a time. It isn't so overwhelming.  I printed out these papers from Activity Village and let them go!

I loved that when he added details, he added TEETH to the farmer.
Loved the wind!

I didn't want to leave you in suspense...

Have a wonderful Father's Day weekend! I am SO BLESSED to have such a perfect father.  He is perfect.  That just says it all.  This is one of my favorite pictures of him and my sister when I was little.
Our collie just had 11 puppies, and we were choosing the one we would keep- Laddie.  (The mom was Lassie- and they were absolutely wonderful dogs!)  My dad is THEE most patient, kind, generous, loving man ever. Happy Father's Day, dad! XOXOX

Have a beautiful weekend!
